Come Fly With Me

michaelaconley.substack.com

Lean slightly forward, begin to breathe deeply into the center of your chest, your heart area and begin to feel the gentle tug. Lift from your heart area. It’s almost as though your heart is leading you upward. Your feet gently leave the ground and you’re there, about 10 feet off the ground. Notice the stillness and absolute peace as you see people on the sidewalk just below you going about their day. As you continue to fill your chest with air, you begin to realize that you are able to not just float but have the ability to move forward, following the sidewalks, into the parks of the city, through the beautiful green fields and even to the oceans edge. All powered by your breath and your slightest intention to go, see, experience all from just about 10 feet above.

At any time you may lightly touch down and join others, share with them your gift of flight and assist them in cultivating their own flight. Afterall, what good is learning to fly if you can’t share the joy of the experience with others?

Floating and gently flying, this is my most favorite recurring dream.

Most people dream every night, some of us remember them at least for a while, others are left imbedded in the pillow in the morning. The desire to understand or explain dreams is as old as the bible. Science suggests that dreams serve to integrate learning and move some bits into long term memory. It is fun to try to figure out what’s going on and what it means. Generally, I can track themes back to the previous day but I’m still left with more questions than answers.

I googled dream interpretation and found Dream Moods which seems to have literally everything you could ask for and more including a directory of dream concepts. I can see this could be a giant rabbit hole so enter at your own risk. So, I bookmarked it for later.

According to the above, To dream that you are floating on air indicates satisfaction, contentment and acceptance of some situation. You are letting go of your problems and rising above obstacles. You are experiencing new-found freedom and gaining a new perspective on things. Nothing seems overwhelming or too difficult to handle. Alternatively, floating in your dream suggests that you are wandering through life aimlessly with no goals. You are just going with the flow.

Not only am I living in gratitude, I’m sleeping in it too.
